Siemens Healthineers: Tell us about your daily life at Siemens Healthineers
Juliana: Well, I’m in charge of two really fascinating and challenging areas – marketing and sales – so daily life is usually pretty busy. I make sure that our global customer services strategy is properly deployed in Brazil, and I work on branding initiatives, strategic planning and competitive positioning. I’m also responsible for providing pre-sales support, managing contracts and overseeing the dedicated service sales force in our extensive region.
Siemens Healthineers: What’s the most intriguing part of your job?
Juliana: It’s quite a complex and dynamic environment. For instance, the after-sales part of my role doesn’t seem to have a predefined shape. You could say it’s as unique as our customers – different in every case. It’s almost as if we’re working on a joint construction project that’s always changing. Sometimes those changes may be minor, and sometimes they can be major. I’m also sensitive to the fact that customers have justifiably high expectations about what we offer in our portfolio. That drives us to constantly develop so we can continue responding to their needs.
Siemens Healthineers: Which skills help you most in your job?
Juliana: I’d say versatility and self-motivation. If you’re versatile, you can understand changing trends, customer needs, and long-term strategies. The ability to constantly switch your mindset to invest in new skills is a great exercise, and crucial for a job like mine. As for self-motivation, I find that it helps me take ownership of the company’s principles without having to wait for others to show the way. I suppose it’s about feeling happy leading by example.
Siemens Healthineers: What would you say to someone thinking of applying for a role like yours?
Juliana: Have an open mind, be courageous, and truly believe that you can create the best experience for your customers. One of our principles says that “Missed opportunities are our biggest risks”. I believe in daring to take that step – and the opportunity to improve people’s health is amazing.
